Mary Koperski
holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance Performance.
She was first introduced to Classical Indian Dance in 1979 as a dance
major at New York University School of the Arts. Her first guru
was Ritha Devi in the Kuchipudi style. Subsequently,
she continued her studies in Boston with Neena Gulati (bharata
natyam, kuchipudi and odissi styles) at the Triveni School of Dance and
completed her arangetram under the guidance of Neenaji. She has
taught both ballet and bharata natyam in a number of venues including
Yogi Bhajan's Khalsa Women's Summer Camp in New Mexico.
She continues her studies with Neena Gulati as well as teaching at the Triveni School, YogaEast in Wakefield MA, the Kripalu Institute in Lenox MA, NorthEast Youth Ballet and in Boston area elementary after-school programs.
